The rod attaches to the top and bottom of the oil lantern light. The oil lantern has a very traditional shape with a two-tier top that extends into a two rod frame and ends in a narrow ornament shape. The middle curved globe is made of textured glass and allows the bulb to show through. The glass against the antique bronze hardware adds character to the overall look.
